Vladimir Putin's threat to Europe is evident and acute. His aggressive foreign policy manifests itself through the brutal war in Ukraine, the occupation of Crimea, support for Hamas and interference in European domestic affairs.

Putin is endangering our democracy, European political and economic stability through the targeted spread of disinformation and propaganda as well as financial support and advice for radical forces such as the AfD.

The arrest of political opponents such as Navalny and Kara-Murza, persecution of anti-war activists, qualification of LGBTQ+ community as extremists, restriction of freedom of the press and military censorship show a dramatic disregard for basic human rights.

Putin's regime has resulted in corruption, destruction of the judicial system, persecution on the grounds of identity, repression, tortures in prisons and on the occupied territories. It is time for a change!
